Greetings from all of us at AICO. We welcome you to the site, catering to the needs of the office called Archdiocesan Institutions’ Central Office. This office, unique in its concept and essence, helps the smooth running of the important institutions of the Syro-Malabar community in the central part of Kerala, India.
It is a part of the Archeparchy of Ernakulam and Angamaly, a Catholic community belonging to the Syro-Malabar Church. Established as a vicariate on July 28, 1896, this Archeparchy grew through the years and today it comprises of a territory of 1500 sq. kms and is the Major Archeparchy of the Syro-Malabar Church. The growth of the community was manifested in the increase in the number and prestige of the many institutions. From the point of view of their governance, there emerged three types of institutions: (1) those owned and managed by the Religious communities, (2) those owned and operated by the parishes in the Archeparchy and (3) those under the direct supervision and control of the Archbishop. This office caters to the institutions directly under supervision of the Archbishop.
We love our institutions. There are hospitals, colleges, schools, care centres and vocational schools, besides commercial and charitable establishments among them. Through these institutions the values of Jesus Christ our Saviour, namely, love, joy, peace, kindness and mercy are showered upon all the people of God irrespective of their ethnicity, caste, religion or economic status.
We welcome you to the website as well as to the various institutions of ours. May God almighty bless you all!
